The groundbreaking Reserve Blend 701 Cover, along with the Shrapnel 2.0 Symmetric Core, creates an exceptional shape on medium lane conditions. The highly reliable Shrapnel 2.0 Symmetric Core incorporates the same proven technology used in the Ordnance C4. With its low RG/medium differential configuration, this core quickly engages and generates a consistent, continuous motion on the lane. Its single-density construction ensures a versatile reaction that suits various playing styles across a wide range of oil patterns. To create the ideal benchmark ball, a solid shell is essential. Pros:

Great for all conditions, versatile

Cons:

None

Best Uses:

Any competitive bowling events

Bottom Line:

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Perfect benchmark

I got mine 12 days before it came out at Indy and i would say this ball is the perfect benchmark ball the phase two is a similar shape but it is definitely a smoother reaction while still being cleaner through the fronts it responds well to surface adjustments but if your looking to fill holes in your bag and have a phase 2 or other benchmark balls like the venom shock or track stealth etc. this may not be the best option but if your looking for your first higher performance ball it is a great choice imo.

Question:

Would it hurt to change the surface?

12/12/2023 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

Hello! We do not suggest adjustments to the covern straight of out the box. The Reserve Blend 701 Solid Reactive coverstock of the 900Global Xponent has a 4000-Grit Abralon finish designed for medium oil lane conditions. Depending on the amount of oil on your lanes, a polish addition to the finish of the ball would give it more length, while a duller lower grit level would give it more hook earlier on the lanes.
