This ball is very good, very clean through the fronts and a wicked backend movement. i shot a 300 out of the box. great benchmark bowling ball and the first ball out the bag.

Great Ball

The Hazmat has good length and nice pop down lane. What I notice the most about it is the way it changes direction. The Hazmat is a little cleaner for me with a strong move to the pocket. The Hazmat allows me to get the look that I want to see, without compromising the pin carry. The angles that I can create with this ball ar. e almost as beautiful as the ball. A great piece for bowlers looking for a compliment to the Black Widow 2.0 Hybrid. I would recommend this ball for someone with medium revs and speed; however I could see a player with higher speed having this as a “pearl” option in the middle of their bag.

Hammer Hazmat

Hammer Hazmat, This ball rolls quite early for a pearl symmetrical piece. It has earned a spot in my bag because it strikes (A lot). It is very continuous even though it seems to start early. I have had the most success playing in late in the set when I have a bit of a cliff. It doesn’t overreact off the friction but still has some pop if I keep it in the oil.

Toxic for Pins

Holy cow! What an amazing ball. I have been waiting for a shiny big symmetrical ball to compliment my Black Widow 2.0 Hybrid and this is the one. The Hazmat has good length and nice pop down lane. What I notice the most about it is the way it changes direction. It gets into a roll with the Hazmat Hybrid cover and creates a more end over end roll – when you combine it with the shiny angularity, it creates a special roll phase in the later part of the lane. I would recommend this ball for someone with medium revs and speed; however I could see a player with higher speed having this as a “pearl” option in the middle of their bag.

Did somebody say "Baby Widow"?

Hazmat: This is being call the Baby Widow, and I can agree. The Hazmat is a little cleaner for me with a strong move to the pocket. I found the Widows to have a little too much midlane motion for me, making them never miss the pocket, but not letting me shape the ball to my liking. The Hazmat allows me to get the look that I want to see, without compromising the pin carry. The angles that I can create with this ball are almost as beautiful as the ball. A great piece for bowlers looking for a compliment to the Black Widow 2.0 Hybrid.

Hazmat Hybrid

The Hammer Hazmat Hybrid is a great league ball. I had to make a slight alter to the surface after drilling to 1000-grit with crown factory compound and found this ball to great on house/league conditions. I’ve been able to use this consistently on a 41 foot/23ml house shot and it does not disappoint.

Hazmat

I drilled my Hazmat with a 60x4x30 pin up layout. For me, this ball is a great second ball out of bag and great on medium to lighter house patterns. With the addition of HK22, it is responsive off the end of the pattern. I feel like this ball is a great compliment to the Black Widow 2.0 Hybrid and it reminds me of the Hammer Rebel.

New Hammer Hazmat with HK22

The new Hammer Hazmat reminds me a lot of the Hammer scorpion only a shiny version. Very controllable and predictable. Put your favorite layout in the Hazmat and it will become your benchmark ball. The Hazmat is great on a variety of lane patterns. It works very well on league conditions and rolls extremely well on sport conditions. The hazmat has very good Midlane with continuous back-end motion. With the addition of HK22, the Hazmat is more responsive down lane and does not quit. Another great symmetrical ball in the Hammer line up.

Hazmat

The hazmat is one of the funnest balls I have thrown in some time. Designed to be the big symmetrical ball in the hammer line. The hk22 hybrid cover stores plenty of energy and this thing really checks up at the end of the pattern. The color combo on this ball looks great on the shelf but really shines as you can see it revving up down lane. When the widow 2.0 hybrid starts to read a little early it’s an easy transition right into the hazmat and keep on striking

Incredible Downlane Motion

The Hazmat is the cleanest and strongest ball I’ve thrown in the Hammer lineup. Due to the combination of a bigger core and the HK22 coverstock the Hazmat is the most angular Hammer ball I’ve ever drilled. I was shocked at how clean the Hazmat was while still being able to maintain control downlane. The Hazmat gives me a look I’ve never had with a Hammer ball while maintaining the signature downlane motion.

Hammer Hazmat is the ball you have been waiting for.

Hammer Hazmat is very strong Hybrid. It clears the front of the lane without any early hook and with that HK 22 it makes a hard snap motion to the pocket. The best way to describe this ball is a Symmetrical Hybrid that will remind you of a weaker version of the black widow 2.0 Hybrid.

Hammer Hazmat

Here is my take on the brand new Hammer Hazmat. The Hazmat is a low RG/high differential symmetric core release wrapped by a black, jade, sapphire semtex hybrid cover with the HK-22 base. Box finish is 1500 Siaair finished with factory compound. The one I've drilled has a 40 x 5 x 30 layout at box finish. Ive have tried the new Hazmat on several fresh THS patterns.

The purpose of Hazmat by design is to create a "big ball" in a symmetric core release with a stronger back end motion. From what I see, the Hazmat definitely covers a good amount of territory and shows a quicker down lane response at box surface. As I've been working on trying to slow down the response down lane and get the ball to read a little sooner and be smoother, I will hit the Hazmat with maybe a fresh 2000 pad and see what it does. Either way, the Hazmat reminds a bit of the more recent Brunswick Knock Out/Melee Jab releases- and to be sure, I've had good luck with that series of bowling balls. So, I expect I will see the Hazmat getting plenty of usage and will likely show “usability” on a variety of patterns.

The Hammer Hazmat releases on November 16- see your pro shop for more information!

SEXY

This ball will be a great benchmark ball in most bowlers bags. It reminds me a lot of the Scandal Pearl that Hammer had a while back. It's clean and continuous throughout the lane and does not stop hooking once it starts. This ball is going to be great on a wide variety of lane conditions, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Question:

Would this be a good step below a Phaze 2 if I have high tilt 17 mph ball speed and 405 revs

7/12/2024 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The Hazmat will give you more length due to the hybrid cover and polished out of box finish and this helps it read well in medium oil conditions. You could definitely use this after your Phaze 2 when the lanes are transitioning to lower oil .
