Question:

How does this ball compare to the Hammer Effect

10/14/2024 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The Storm Ion Max has a solid coverstock and duller finish to help this read earlier on the lanes for a smoother arcing hook. This ball will also be able to handle the heaviest oil conditions. The Hammer Effect has a pearl coverstock and compound finish to give that ball more length and a more angular backend hook but because it react later it is more suited for medium to heavy oil conditions.

Question:

Is this bowling ball good for rev rates and not a lot of speed?

11/2/2024 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

This ball is designed to read earlier on the lanes and have a strong arcing hook in heavier oil conditions. For someone with average revs and average speed, the ball will do exactly this. If you are rev dominant with not a lot of speed you can expect this ball to read even stronger earlier on the lanes but it may loose some of the backend hook for your speed. If your rev rate and speed were both lower then it may read earlier but it may not read aggressive early on so it could still have a decent continuation at the backend.

Question:

How does this ball compare to the regular ion

11/8/2024 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The Ion Max will have an earlier reaction on the lane giving it more time to hook and more overall hook on the lanes. The solid coverstock and duller finish help this read the midlane making it mostly suited for heavy oil only while the Ion Pro had a little more length which helped it work down into some medium to heavy oil conditions.
