Storm Phaze A.I.

The Storm Phaze A.I. is an evolution in the legendary Phaze line, designed to bring the game-changing performance of the Phaze II, but now with a powerful pearl finish. Engineered for bowlers who demand excellence, the Phaze A.I. combines proven technology with advanced innovations to deliver next-level performance on the lanes. With Storm’s Power Edge Polish, the Phaze A.I. achieves a smooth, high-gloss finish faster than ever, enhancing both grip and glide. The stunning pearlized coverstock not only provides exceptional control but also delivers quick and sharp direction changes, giving bowlers the confidence to tackle any lane condition. At its core, the Phaze A.I. is powered by the revolutionary Velocity A.I. Core. Building on the successful low RG/high differential symmetric design of the original Velocity core, this core maximizes ball dynamics while smoothing out backend reactions. The result is dramatically improved pin carry and enhanced control, offering bowlers a consistent and reliable reaction. Incorporating the highly successful TX-16 technology from the Phaze II, the Phaze A.I. boasts a tacky coverstock that creates a large footprint on the lane, ensuring strong traction through the mid-lane. This ball is designed for bowlers who need power, control, and versatility in one package, making the Phaze A.I. a true game-changer in bowling performance.

Question:

Difference between Ion Max and Phaze AI

10/2/2024 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

There is a large difference on these two bowling balls. The Phaze A.I. is an uppermid performance ball designed for medium oil conditions and the pearl coverstock and polished finish give this good length with a strong backend hook. The Ion Max is a high performance ball designed for heavy oil conditions and the solid coverstock and duller finish help it read earlier on the lanes for a smoother arcing hook.

Question:

Does phaze AI come in a 11 pound

10/3/2024 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

Unfortunately they do not make this ball under 12lbs. Typically in a lighter weight ball you would have to remove the larger weight block to get the overall weight down and one of the reasons for this ball being an upper mid performance ball and priced as such is due to a better weight block. If you remove the weight block you are spending a lot extra on this ball for features you do not get. You may look at the Tropical Surge line for an 11lb option.

Question:

is this ball going to be good on medium heavy or heavy oil conditions?

10/14/2024 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

This ball should work best in medium conditions. The heavier the oil pattern the more this will skid and react even later so you may not get as strong of a backend hook in heavier or longer patterns.

Question:

What is the difference between optimum idol pearl and this ball?

10/23/2024 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

There is actually not a huge difference between the two. They both have a pearl coverstock and polished finish for good length. Both are listed in the same upper mid performance category and have similar strength weight blocks. The Phaze AI may read just slightly earlier but it will be hard to see a significant difference.

Question:

I currently bowl with the Storm Phase II and keep the factor surface recommendations. My ball speed is 12mph. Will the AI help a slower ball speed player like myself and add better carry through the pins and stop leaving the notorious Urethane 10 pin??

10/29/2024 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The Phase II was designed to read earlier on the lanes with the out-of-box finish and if you find that this ball tends to read early and the roll out a little flatter on the backend you may need a ball that reacts a little later on the backend so it can drive through the pins a little better and the Phaze AI is better for length and backend.

Question:

Would this be a replacement ball for the roto grip idol pearl

10/30/2024 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

Yes, this would be a great option for someone needing to replace the Idol Pearl. Both are upper mid performance options that work well in medium oil. Both have a pearl coverstock and polished finish out the box and both have similar RG values from the weight block so they will have a very similar reaction.

Question:

Is this a bowl for low rpm bowlers

11/9/2024 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

A bowler with a low rpm or low revs could still use this ball but it is important to adjust your expectations. If you have an average rev rate and average ball speed then the product description will describe what you can expect but with lower revs then it may hook a little less and this could make it more suited for medium to lighter conditions rather than just medium conditions. It will still have good length and hook on the backend for you but you may just expect this to work better for you in a little less oil that the description says.
