Track Tundra Fire

Track is bringing back the Tundra line of bowling balls with the Track Tundra Fire. This mid-performance ball utilizes a high RG and low differential symmetrical core. This ball is covered with the DR-5 Pearl coverstock with the HK22 base. The core found in this bowling ball easily gets the ball down the lane while the strong coverstock aids in recovery and a sweeping backend motion. The HK22 base cover gives this ball versatility but it is best used when the oil has broken down and the lanes are hooking.

USE OF FIRE

This is a fantastic ball for medium/dry lane conditions. Mine is best used to game 3 when all the oil is pretty much gone. I'm able to play it about the same part of the lane and whatever I was using previous and it just goes longer and snaps hard on the backend. Great use for slower ball speeds, higher rev rates or lanes that are very dry, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Must Have Ball for Medium to Dry Lane Conditions

I have never thrown the Tundra Line of bowling balls. I had read and heard of great things about the Tundra Fire, so when I moved from 16lbs down to 15 lbs bowling balls, I decided to rebuild my arsenal and include the new Track Tundra Fire in my new arsenal. I am incredibly pleased with my decision to acquire this ball. The new Tundra Fire is very clean and predictable on medium to dry lane conditions. With the HK22 additive to it, the Tundra Fire gives the ball added hitting power and response on friction. This mid-performance ball has a high RG and low differential symmetrical core, giving any bowler predictability and control on drier lane surfaces. If you loved the predictability of the Damn Good Verge, you will love the new Track Tundra Fire!

Fire!!!

The Track Tundra Fire is an amazing ball! This is not your typical Tundra line bowling ball, This ball is more angular and stronger! This ball is your typical league ball where you can start and finish with, or this is your late in the tournament ball that will help you clear the fronts and mids and be responsive enough on the backend to carry the 10 out as the lanes dry out. Don't leave this ball on the shelf!! You'll regret it!

Smooth and powerful!

The new Tundra Fire from Track has been such an exiting new piece in my arsenal. Many of us were thrilled to see a new release from the Tundra series. This symmetrical pearl is going to give you the length your looking for when you need a ball to travel through the front part of the lane and still give you plenty of movement on the back end and continuation through the pins. The HK22 pearl coverstock has proven to be one of the best covers that Brunswick Bowling Products has ever produced and is showing up in big scores all across the country. One of the most exciting features of this ball is the value you are going to get from it when it comes to your pocketbook. You’re getting high end performance at a midline price. This ball checks every box to prove it belongs in your arsenal. Track hit out it out of the park with this one.

Track Tundra Fire

Going back a few years I am a big fan of the Tundra series. I still have a Tundra & a Tundra Solid in the back of my closet. The high RG and low Dif combo have always seemed to work for me. When I saw this ball announced I was super excited, and I couldn't wait to get it on the lanes. So now I've got one drilled up and it is not at all what I expected. At first, I was a little disappointed as I watched this ball react to the friction. It was much stronger than I expected. As I kept practicing, and watching the ball reaction, seeing how hard it was hitting I realized two things. (1) This is not the super long, very smooth shape I have seen in the Tundra line. And 2, this ball is awesome. The ball gets deep into the back end and then just flips and hits. It's a new shape to my arsenal, and I like it. The HK22 additive really shows off on this piece.

Great when the heads hook

The Tundra Fire is now my go to ball when the heads start to hook. The combination of high RG, low Dif and HK22 Pearl gets the ball down the lane with enough energy to recover on the back. The HK22 shell enables the ball to still hit if I pull the ball into the oil. This ball has a different look than anything else in my arsenal and has earned a spot in the starting lineup.

good motion, clean

Best Uses:

THS, drier lanes, lower volume

Bottom Line:

Good Motion for Price Point

The Track Tundra Fire reminds me of the Heat series circa 2016. That means, the Tundra Fire should be in your league bag and will come in handy on many low/medium sport patterns.

Although the Tundra Fire is in the similar price point as the recently released Track Sensor – and are both pearls – the two have very different motions. While the Sensor is a bit stronger in the mids and more rolly, the Tundra Fire definitely sparks off the spot and gives a very strong backend flip for the price point.

If you need something to use on the drier end of house patterns, or more low-volume sport patterns, the Tundra Fire may be just what you’re looking for!

Medium, heavy oil conditions

Best Uses:

Great for dry lanes

Great on Firey lanes!

Tundra Fire: The Tundra Fire is perfect for dry lanes. With the HK22 base, it is cleaner than all other versions of the Tundra. It also works great if you want to play a straighter line on medium oil. The Tundra Fire is going to put a smile on your face. The pearl cover clears front end burn and still gives you the pop on the back end to get the corners out.

Question:

How does it compare to the hammer nu ball?

3/5/2024 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

Hello! Both are mid performance balls, they will have similar reactions and be a solid choice for someone with a slower ball speed. The NU Blue Hammer ball is designed to work in medium to lighter oil conditions so it could work for you on most house shots but keep in mind this ball is not designed to be a very strong hooking ball. It is a very smooth and easy to control reaction. The Track Tundra Fire will have a bit more length before hooking and would also work well on medium to lighter oil conditions.
