Great beginning ball, really allows you to experiment with a lot

This is my first ball ive ever had and I honestly dont regret getting it. Its allowed me to really test the likes of bowling from resurfacing a bowl, cleaning a ball and figuring out if i wanna throw it one hand or two handed. All around great first ball

Pros:

Very nice ball.

Bottom Line:

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Great ball

I have used this ball for about a dozen games and am really liking it. I have a pretty high rev rate and this ball tames the hook. It still doesn't take the hook completely out but makes it much more manageable.
I would definitely buy this ball again.

Question:

I am a 3 year league bowler and want a ball that will allow me to throw a nice curve ball. I assume this is weighted on the inside to allow for that?

1/30/2020 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

This ball does have a reactive coverstock to help give it more hook potential than the house bowling balls and also it has a weight block inside on the weights over 12lbs to help the ball react to the revs you put on the ball. This is best in medium to lighter oil lane conditions.

Question:

I've found that the 8lb ball (which I ordered) has a foam core compared to the heavier weights. Can I expect to learn how to hook with this ball?

5/1/2022 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The coverstock is still a better cover to help you hook the ball compared to a plastic ball. You may also resurface the coverstock to a lower grit if you wanted to get a little more hook out of this ball. If you go up to 10lbs you do have more options for performance balls but in 8lbs this is one of the best options.

Question:

Stupid question but if I choose the “no drilling” option will it still have holes?

8/16/2022 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

If you do not select drilling then the ball will come without any finger holes and you could have your local proshop measure and drill the ball to fit your hand.

Question:

How do I know if it will fit my hand? Do I have to get it drilled?

8/30/2023 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

Hi Alder, we offer drilling on this ball or you could have it drilled locally. To see a size chart you may click the "?" beside the drilling option. It will show the measurements for the span (distance between the fingers and thumb hole) and the finger hole size ( width or diameter of the hole ).

Question:

If I am using a 15 lb ball now but can not curve it will this ball in a 12 lb allow me to learn how to curve the ball or will practicing with a lighter ball hurt my game?

12/21/2023 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

There are pros and cons to using a lighter weight ball but most bowlers will say to use the heaviest weight you feel comfortable with using because the ball will drive better through the pins. Also, a heavier ball may slow your ball speed down which will give the ball more time on the lane to hook. If you feel you get more rotation on a lighter weight ball then you may want to try something a little lighter but as you go down in weight, the ball will not drive as well through the pins.
