MY HUSBAND AND I JUST STARTED BOWLING AND HAVE RENTED THEESE AT THE LANES SO DECIDED TO PURCHASE. GREAT PRICE FOR A BEGINNER SHOE, BUT NOTE THAT THE SHOE SIZE RUNS VERY LARGE. I SUGGEST ORDERING TWO SIZES SMALLER THAN YOUR TYPICAL SHOE SIZE.

Recreational Bowler loves these shoes
Started going bowling with the family to get out of the sweltering summer heat. Didn't care for the $5 shoe rental each time we went. We found these shoes and purchased a woman's for me, men's for hubby (which hasn't come yet after a few weeks still =(, and 2 kid boys for my little girls (yes boys since the reviews for the girls indicated sizing issues). These shoes have been great for me and my girls. Not too heavy and comfy enough with thick or thin socks. Not great as far as support, but they do what they need to do for our family bowling trips. We have already more than recouped the cost by saving on the shoe rental fees! Dad is still waiting for his so he can try them out.

my disappointment lies in the fact.that this site has hidden fee's..15% to exchange shoes..and so even though these arent true to size..much bigger. I am just going to keep and wear really thick socks.

How are the half sizes indicated on the back of this shoe? I wore a 9 with a line under it at a bowling alley, and my friend told me the line meant a half size. Is this true for this shoe? Or does it actually say 91/2 on the back? Once I figure out what size I wore, I will order my own to try it!
