Fabulous quality!
These shoes arrived today so I haven't used them yet, however, the quality is the best of any shoes I've ever owned or expect to own. They have a very comfortable inner sole with arch support. They are heavier than my current shoes, but I don't expect this to be a problem. I bought the medium width and the size is true to size, however the heel is wide for me which is not uncommon because I have a narrow heel. I will buy some inserts so the heel fits better. I can't wait to use them. Best bowling shoes I've ever owned. I bought this brand because my husband owns a pair that are probably 30 years old (or more) and they are still in great condition. Worth the price.

love them- fit like they did 30 years ago
The product has been around for a long time and wears well. They run large - a size larger than regular shoes. Be sure to purchase the Tru fit. Exchanges are easy. Well worth the money.

Bowl in 3 leagues and feel very comfortable and secure in Linds. Had the same pair over 30 years ago and loved them so bought a new pair. Great shoe.

Great Shoes!
I have worn these shoes for years and even had the toe restructured since I apparently drag my toe and wear them out. I finally bought a new pair. I prefer these over any other bowling shoes. I have bought different brands, but never could wear them as they would not slide, etc. Linds are the best. The service was great, received shoes with in a few days. Will use bowling.com again in the future.

Love Linds
I have been wearing linds for 30 years. I was wary after reading some of the reviews. This pair does seem a bit heavier and feels a bit like the heel may be a tad higher, but after trying them out this week I had no problems. I do wear a slip-on slide on my left shoe, so did not experience any sticking. I did skuff up the heel a bit. They are true to size although not as snug as in the past. If you are familiar with this shoe, you would not be disappointed. If you are a first time buyer, this shoe may seem heavy to you.

continued from above review
This review is continued from the review I wrote above. I was pleasantly surprised when I got the 6.5 and they fit true to size. They feel just like they did 30 yrs ago. However, they don't slide on synthetic lanes, so I need to wear a slip-on slider at most bowling centers. (Reminder: New rules prohibit putting any substance such as soapstone or any sort of powder on your shoes to get more slide.) A very positive for me is that they are not light as a feather as most performance shoes are these days. I like having a little bit of weight to my bowling shoes, as well as some heel height, as it provides a more stable feel in my approach. Finally, the width and shape of the sole is like a normal shoe, which suits me very well -- unlike the overly wide, tacky rubber-trimmed Hammer/KR Strikeforce Vixen, which I gave to someone who likes them (she has no approach; just walks to the foul line). Overall, I still prefer Linds bowling shoes over all the other performance shoes I've tried. Adjusting to synthetic lanes is only a problem for those of us who are returning to the sport after a decades-long hiatus.

Tight in the toes
I wear a size 6.5 M woman's regular shoe. 30 years ago, I got a pair of Lind's in size 6 and they were like heaven on my feet -- perfect fit. Now that the company has changed hands a few times, I depended on the reviews (one in particular) and ordered a size 6, same as my old ones. And the size has crushed me -- and my toes. The weird thing is that it's not the length or width that's a problem -- those are perfect. The problem is the vertical space in the toes. My toes are being squooshed on the tops -- not the front or sides, but the top. Consequently, I had not opportunity to bowl in them but the look, materials, and construction are very much like the originals. I'm going to try to exchange them for a 6.5, but I'm concerned those will be to long. At any rate, these are being returned and, if I do get the size 6.5, I might be able to add to this review or write another one. Either way...to be continued...

Heel slips inside shoe
I was so excited to get my Linds and when I tried them on and attempted my bowling approach, my heel kept slipping at the back of the shoe. I am so dissapointed. The length and width feel fine, but if I tighten the shoe laces much more, I'm cutting the circulation in my feet. Unfortunatley, I will be returning these shoes.

Linds classics
I have been bowling for 43 years and have averaged in the mid 220's for the last 10. In the past when I have purchased Linds I could use them right out of the box. With this new purchase I tried them on in practice and couldn't seem to slide on the heal. This was very disappointing as I don't practice and can't break them in during my league so they have been in the back of my car for about 4 weeks now. Anyone have a clue how to break these in better? They do slide but the heal sticks. Otherwise these are the only type of shoe I would own.

Not made as well as they used to be
I've worn Linds for almost 40 years. I know they are stiff and heavy. The first pair I had lasted 27 years! (with new soles put on a few times by shoe repair guy). The next pair lasted 10 and I just ordered the exact same size as the ones I have and could not even get my foot in them. ( I sent them back and waiting for a credit). As with most things, they don't make them like they used to. I found the new pair to be of less quality than my previous pair(s) Not bowling.com fault. If you're a long time Lind user, it may be time to consider another brand. I will have to. In the meantime I spent some time sewing up my old pair where needed to get me through this season and will shop around this summer for a different brand. No issues however with bowling.com

tough fit
The shoes fit in length and toe, but too big in heel area. Because of restrictions for returning, I just past the shoes on to another player in league who wore same size and hope they work for that player.

Have an answer to this question?
Question:
I have the linds classic white shoes for a right handed bowler and the left shoe does not slide at all. Is there anything I can do to make them slide?
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
The Linds slide sole is a buckskin leather material. You could try a steel shoe brush to help brush the leather and see if this loosens it up some. Brush the direction that you slide. Also, if the soles have gotten dirty you could try to clean the leather use a leather cleaner and see if this helps.
