Motiv Ripcord Launch

The Motiv Ripcord Launch was designed with an angular "skid-flip" reaction in mind. This polished, pearl-reactive high-performance bowling ball pairs best with medium oil conditions. The Ripcord Launch introduces the Ripcord line of bowling balls to the powerful Propulsion coverstock technology. The Propulsion MVP Pearl Reactive coverstock is wrapped around a special density-modified symmetrical Torx V2 core. This core and cover combination results in a powerful down-lane shape with exciting backend-hitting strength that handles oil without giving up angularity. In short, the Motiv Ripcord Launch produces easy length with a snappy backend reaction on medium-oiled lanes.

Most responsive Ripcord to date

Same name, NEW technology. The ripcord Launch is by far the most backend out of any of the previous versions of the Ripcord family. Compared to the Iron Forge the Launch is a couple boards stronger due to the amount of boards it covers on the back. Much cleaner and faster responding than the Iron Forge and Ripcord Velocity. Motiv may have found something with this version of the Propulsion cover. The previous version of the Propulsion cover used on the Empire matched with the Dominion core could make the backend appear spotty at times. Overall, the Ripcord Launch is a great addition to the Motiv lineup offering a purpose-built ball for your tournament bag.

Ripcord launch

The Ripcord Launch is the newest ball in our line and fits in the medium oil angular category. Another fantastic release from Motiv Bowling.  Bowlers will find this ball stronger in the oil than the Ripcord Velocity with still having a fast down lane motion. I’ve found the Ripcord Launch super useable when the lane opens up and you’re forced to play steeper angles.
The Ripcord Launch has the Torx V2 core. The Torx V2 core gives the Ripcord Launch a strong and quick down lane motion for medium volumes of oil.
The Ripcord Launch has the Propulsion MVP pearl reactive technology, the Ripcord Launch is designed to create downlane motion in medium oil.

Question:

Will this ball flip more then empire prime

10/25/2022 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

This ball does not have more or less hook than the Pride Empire. It shows to have the same backend and over all hook potential based on Motivs chart. The only difference is that this ball will give you slightly more length.

Question:

I throw 14 to 15 about 275 rev will this ball be good for me on house shot. Will it work with fatal venon

11/16/2022 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

Yes, this would be a good option and will give you good length with a strong backend. The Fatal Venom can work as your lighter oil to some medium oil option while the Ripcord Launch is more your medium to heavy oil option. They have similar length so it will make the transition very easy from one to the next.

Question:

I’m a low rev player with a rev of around 250 and I was wondering if this ball would be a good fit for me

8/20/2023 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

If your speed matches your rev rate and was average to lower speed then this ball would be a good option and you would use this in medium or possibly even some lighter oil conditions. It would react for you pretty much as described in the product description. However, if you have a high ball speed and lower rev rate then this ball may not be a good match. It is designed to read late on the lanes so if you have high speed and lower revs it may not have much time for a reaction on the backend of the lane.

Question:

I'm a 71 year old with low ball speed around 10.5 to 11.0 currently throwing a 13 pound ball. Do you have a recommendation for a ball that will hit hard an carry. I'm fairly accurate playing inside or outt

9/22/2023 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

This ball should be a very good option for you. The pearl coverstock and polished finish will give the ball good length which will help with your ball speed so the ball does not roll out too early. Also, Motiv keeps the same performance weight block in the 13lb weight as they have in the heavier weights when most other brands will change the weight block as you go down in weight. So this will help the ball to carry better through the pins and should work well in medium oil conditions and some heavy oil conditions for your style.
